A more regular posting commitment.
So I think in order to make things more noteworthy for my weight loss journey, I will need to keep a more detailed record for myself on here.
Food for today.
breakfast - oatmeal square cereal (180 calories) 1/2 cup whole milk (75 calories) and a handful of blueberries
Snack - mini brownie in the ER at 2 pm... had not had lunch then
Lunch - 2:30 pm. salad (spinach, broccoli, a lone carrot) with 28 grams green goddess (30 gm is 130 calories) and my mac and cheese (recipe: 1 box spinach, 1 onion, sauteed. 3 servings whole wheat pasta, sauce - 3 tbsp butter, 1 cup or so milk, 2 tbsp flour - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar, then all mixed together. This recipe made me 4 servings, I had one serving for lunch)
Dinner - spicy lentil soup (recipe - sautee 1 onion sauteed in 1 tbsp olive oil, add 14 oz diced tomatoes, 1 cup water, 1 cup red lentils, spices to taste. This time I used basil, parsley, etc. 1/4 can chipotles in adobo. This recipe is amazing!) 1 tbsp sour cream in the soup, 2 wasa, less than 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream, I beer.
Fluids - 1 liter of water - 1 diet pepsi.
exercise - walked around the hospital all day, did a spinning class (45 minutes cardio), also painted the trim on the door in the dining room (it's needed to be painted for a few months. ah well. It's done now. Tomorrow, I need to put the paint on tomorrow)

Plateau
So in the last month - I am finally down to 179, right before TTOM struck me this week. I finally started getting some progress again when I gave up beer for a week and then started working out every day for 20 min a day, while continuing to do weights 3 times a week. I feel bad about just maintaining for the past month - it's been frustrating, like the body is resisting the weight loss after having dropped so much weight. I keep going - I keep working out. I am so pleased with my progress and I am NOT going to let myself get that fat again.
Issues - this week, I had to work on the ostomy module so hard that that is what made necessary the drop in time that I spent at the gym this week. I did work 5 days this week. I thought I was going to have a 4 day weekend, but ended up working a half day yesterday and then for the peds home care agency today. so I end up with a normal, but busy weekend. Oh well. That's life I guess.
